Sapphire II is a dual redundant overspeed protection for steam turbines, large diesel and gas engines and generators.
- Configurable to trip on either digital or analogue inputs
- On-line simulation tests that can be carried out safely and easily via keypad using a PIN code or via remote key switch
- Trip valve monitoring and logging
- Trip cause logging for either overspeed trip or digital/analogue input trip with date and time stamp via real time clock
- Trip, alarm log history stored on removable micro SD card
- Acceleration detection
- MPU detection in case of damaged MPU or wiring
