Steam Turbine Generators

Digital Generator Control

The new Si-TEC³ CGC-T Steam Turbine Generator controller is the latest generation Si-TEC controller to be produced by Heinzmann Australia and can be used for condensing or backpressure Steam turbines generators for utility grid generation, isochronous island operation and multiple generating systems.

The Si-TEC³ CGC-T includes some great new features like ethernet, dual dynamic logging and automatic temperature based starting profiles, and with improved processing power and optimised hardware design the Si-TEC³ CGC-T takes an already market leading product to the next level in steam turbine power generation control.

The Si-TEC³ CGC digital governor function is fully integrated with generator control functions (i.e. synchronising, kW load control, kVAr/PF control, etc.).

Si-TEC³ CGC-T

The new Si-TEC³ CGC-T Steam Turbine Generator control is used for condensing or backpressure steam turbines generators with a single actuator for utility grid generation, isochronous island operation and multiple generating systems.

  • Precise speed governing typically within 0.1 % of operating speed at steady state
  • Dual MPU (or prox.) speed sensors for redundancy
  • Auto run up and warm through, based on either time or turbine temperature
  • Automatic synchronising with phase and voltage matching
  • Process control available as standard
  • Grid-parallel and islanded operation
  • Isochronous/references/base load/grid droop operation
  • kW control and load sharing
  • kVAr/PF control and kVAr sharing
  • Major grid generators with comprehensive droop slope
  • Wide range of control valve actuator drivers available
  • Load share with all types of Si-TEC³ CGC and GSM controllers
  • SD card with dual dynamic logging feature
  • Extensive user selected control functionality
  • Extensive alarm functions
  • TCP-IP ethernet port
  • On-board diagnostic
